Need, Want and Desire- Tale of a Boy

Kalu and Ramu   – How they Met
Back in year Y2K,

Kalu, belongs to Brahmin family, just passed out from class 8th and preparing for entrance exam for getting admission in class 9th in a reputed collage of his city .
He was under pressure to get admission in a collage where his two elder brother have studied, but he just couldn’t make it by 2 marks.

So as usual, what we do to get admission, Try Jugad, so that’s what his father tried but he also could not make it. Than it comes to adjustment and he had to settle with GIC (It’s a Govt collage). Everyone fits in there :)

The collage has huge campus with large no of students, with 6 to 8 sections for single class (A to H) and add on to this, it was running in two shifts (Morning & Evening).
Now you know how he got the admission in GIC :)  as this collage is for Aam Aadmi and everyone can get chance to study.

Here Comes Ramu, a Punjabi Munda , 6 feet tall , with specs on and slim like as he never gets food !! He was just living on air & water I guess.
By the way not sure why he did not go for the top rated school, bcz he was such a brilliant lad. Anyway both met in School and their   residence was close so they become good friend.

Ramu was studious as always and Kalu was trying hard to be studious, and why not, his Father was after him :)   so he had to try, no option.
His father was pushing him to get in Merit List in class 10th, and class 9th session was just getting started, so you can imagine the level of pressure.......

The Bull Fight changed the whole plan

So, class 9 section B starts. Science / Maths / Geography /Sanskrit, one by one subjects were keep coming.
But Kalu was focusing on English, even though he was weak in this subject, still he focused on it…
Any guesses why...
There was a Scholarship (vajeepha) scheme for class 9th students, whosoever highest score in final exams in English.
Amount was Rupees 1200. First thing clicked in Kalu’s Mind that if he get those 1200 Rupees, he will have Pizza first along with Ramu , which he told Ramu also .
It was  a pact now between Ramu and Kalu that Pizza will be priority whosoever get the Vajeepha and also ensuring that no one else gets it ;)

That was his Want :) , step ahead of needs

After lot of hard work with Pizza in Mind & Heart, Kalu actually got it.
Yes, nobody believed it, but Kalu got the vajeepha, he scored 91 out of 100 in English and that was highest.
So, Now Ramu and Kalu bunk the classes as soon as they get the money (Kalu got only Rupees 200 from his Father as cheque was handed over to Guardian and  Kalu was not 18 + that time)
Both started Pedaling fast their Hero cycles to reach Pizza shop, suddenly they applied the breaks as they saw two Bulls close to Pizza Shop.
There was Sanitaryware and bathroom fittings shop also nearby where they have   stopped.
The commode pieces was showcased inform the shops in the vacant area. Kalu was in funny mood so he pinged the Owner of  Sanitaryware Shop

Kalu – Bhiya , keep these pieces into the shops, Bulls can do shit in it …
Owner - You better take care of yourself , you idiot !!
Ramu – Let it be Kalu, we are rich people now. We will have Pizza and this Bhaiya will have Pani puri ;)
Owner-  Kids, better you go away now

Kalu – Bhaiya , have you ever had pizza ;) ha ha ha

Meanwhile, bulls started fighting and in no time they destroyed the commode pieces placed infront of shop  and Ramu & Kalu had to run from there to save their life .
They hide themselves behind a wall . They saw commode pieces being destroyed in pieces and their HERO CYCLES too :)

The destruction by bulls lasted around 30 minutes and then things got under control but by than the HERO CYCLES were in no condition to pedal.
Ramu and Kalu were Sad, very Sad, Bcz now they had to go for cycle repair instead of having Pizza
So what basically is the point is that Repairing of Cycle become a need as they have to go
to school every day and want of Pizza became secondary state.

Want/Desire is your Emotional satisfaction, which is ok to have in human nature but need is the first step to fulfill.

Needs are the elementary requirements and that Ramu & Kalu understood, because for them going school is absolute necessary and Pizza can come later.
These things we understand by experience and Clarity on NEED, WANT & DESIRE is absolute necessary.

Ending with a copied thought

You can count on the Universe to always deliver what you need, but understand what you need will not always be what you want

Let’s NOT Talk About COVID-19

DO NOT Pressure yourself. Reframe Your Mind

Let’s Feel Light & Happy!! (Because enough has already been spoken about Covid, it’s time to take a break from the mundane and concentrate on yourself!!)

While lots of things have come to a stop, gladly we haven’t. The thoughts and feelings within us are still moving forward like alive and kicking.

Time never stops, even if it can feel that way. Perhaps, this is the time to think of re imagining your inner old thoughts/Creativity.

Not everything needs to be in sync/sequence.

So what I am doing (apart from MS Teams & Outlook), improving my Vocabulary, yeah yeah, I need to do this!!

Trying hard to be a Chef better than my Better half.

Trying to be Creative by just cutting the 2 Ltr plastic Sprite bottles (which I have managed to collect enough and you know why ;)) and putting some items in it and I feel happy that yes, something is done. Utilized a waste product, Right

I know it’s not any invention but just little small things keeps you happy.  The ability to create is so satisfying
So I have come across a word, “SNARK ‘’, Google says it means [Noun ;) ] ‘’ an imaginary Animal (Used typically with reference to a task or Goal that is elusive or impossible to achieve)

On a Lighter Note many of us now can relate with SNARK - An Imaginary Animal,   in this corporate world no matter what is going around you.
NO NO, not COVID again, there are many other things too!!

Many of us now becoming a  Chef I feel, Can see a lot of WhatsApp stories now( I do the same things BTW ;) )  with Delicious Samosa’s ,  Dalgona coffee, Pani Puri’s and xyz with lots of Oil than that Chef looks Himself/Herself in Mirror and remember to do Plank ;).

So we should keep doing some freaky things, sometimes it comes as Masterpiece or we learn at least.

Ending on a copied thought (above was original BTW ) from Amazing Series on Netflix ‘Money Heist’

Work from Home- Happiness - My first experience

I am in Mumbai for about two and half years, and while it's a great place in many ways, the only thing that kept me here is my Job.
Travelling in a city which never sleeps has its own challenges that will crash all your energy even before you start your day at office sometimes.
But it makes it worse if people are not around you (Especially for our extrovert colleagues).
So when you get this opportunity to work from home (for few of you it may be the first time), you feel adrenaline rush just by the thought that you will get more time with your family.
First few days, you will be on fire as No distractions / no noises are there but later the fomo strikes you.
So Work from Home is fun but I can tell you that it is not that easy sometimes!!
Work from Home has seen changing dimensions of independent Woman. They actually broken the myth and managed home and work like superwoman.
All of a sudden, a cool dude man turns into a caring Husband/ Father and realizes the importance of their better half more.
We know it's not difficult to get a Milk Packet from dairy, but how many of us were doing it:
We use to pretend that we are busy but now we all do it with ease. How!!
Work from home has developed a sense of affection and told us that small things do matter for your wife/Husband/mother/father/child.
PS: for the guys out there, now that you have set the expectation high, you might need to live up to it for whole life. :)
But having said that, being in office is a fun as always.
As they say “Our brain changes in presence of another person and their behavior "having a bunch of guys next to you, all doing the same kind of stuff, makes it more fun.
As the real and virtual can never quite coincide, that feeling can't be simulated using tools like MS TEAMS:
You may lose your social skills as you won't interact much with outer world face to face but in the same time the other part of coin will shine bright.
While no one is watching you around the clock, it's not easy to stay focused.
Fun fact: Few of us might have been using the same pair of t-shirt/pajamas for a weak long.
You need a lot of discipline to keep the momentum.  : It’s easy to stay focused when everyone around you is working for the same goal.
A personal thought, which I strongly felt……..When you have a bad day at work you still have the sense of some efforts ,like you crossed that huge traffic  to  reach office,  attended some meetings , complete your day task
And then you reach home, so actually you did something there and if you have done the dishes post reaching home or stopped by super market to buy the list of items send in your WHTSAPP from the home ministry is cherry on cake.
But when you work from home and you have a bad day, that cherry on cake might taste sour.
Fun Fact- We Crib a lot that due to office busy schedule/travel  we don't get time to work out and stay  healthy , but now when we have all the  time in the world, how many of us actually doing  this  :)
So yes, Work from Home has both Pros & cons, but if you channelized your energy in a right direction, work from Home is as much fun as working from office is!!
Stay Safe & Stay Home and let’s connect soon!!!
