I am in
Mumbai for about two and half years, and while it's a great place in many ways,
the only thing that kept me here is my Job.
Travelling in
a city which never sleeps has its own challenges that will crash all your
energy even before you start your day at office sometimes.
But it makes
it worse if people are not around you (Especially for our extrovert
colleagues).
So when you
get this opportunity to work from home (for few of you it may be the first
time), you feel adrenaline rush just by the thought that you will get more time
with your family.
First few
days, you will be on fire as No distractions / no noises are there but later
the fomo strikes you.
So Work from Home is fun but I can tell you that it is not
that easy sometimes!!
Work from
Home has seen changing dimensions of independent Woman. They actually broken
the myth and managed home and work like superwoman.
All of a sudden,
a cool dude man turns into a caring Husband/ Father and realizes the importance
of their better half more.
We know it's
not difficult to get a Milk Packet from dairy, but how many of us were doing
it:
We use
to pretend that we are busy but now we all do it with ease. How!!
Work from
home has developed a sense of affection and told us that small things do matter
for your wife/Husband/mother/father/child.
PS:
for the guys out there, now that you have set the expectation high, you might
need to live up to it for whole life. :)
But having
said that, being in office is a fun as always.
As they
say “Our brain changes in presence of another person and their behavior
"having a bunch of guys next to you, all doing the same kind of stuff,
makes it more fun.
As the real
and virtual can never quite coincide, that feeling can't be simulated using
tools like MS TEAMS:
You may lose
your social skills as you won't interact much with outer world face to face but
in the same time the other part of coin will shine bright.
While no one
is watching you around the clock, it's not easy to stay focused.
Fun
fact: Few of us might have been using the same pair of t-shirt/pajamas for a
weak long.
You need a
lot of discipline to keep the momentum. : It’s easy to stay focused when
everyone around you is working for the same goal.
A personal thought, which I strongly felt……..When you have a bad day at work you still have the
sense of some efforts ,like you crossed that huge traffic to reach
office, attended some meetings , complete your day task
And then you
reach home, so actually you did something there and if you have done the dishes
post reaching home or stopped by super market to buy the list of items send in
your WHTSAPP from the home ministry is cherry on cake.
But
when you work from home and you have a bad day, that cherry on cake might taste
sour.
Fun
Fact- We Crib a lot that due to office busy schedule/travel we don't get
time to work out and stay healthy , but now when we have all the
time in the world, how many of us actually doing this :)
So yes, Work
from Home has both Pros & cons, but if you channelized your energy in a
right direction, work from Home is as much fun as working from office is!!
Stay Safe
& Stay Home and let’s connect soon!!!
